Water-cup
Question: Can a fast food place refuse to give you a water cup? I'm 14 and I live in Oregon and the Mc donalds diddnt gimme a water cup. Can they do that?
Answer: Sometimes, a restaurant will make you pay for the cup but there is no reason for them not to give you a cup of water unless you did something to make them mad..... I am talking about something inappropriate in their restaurant.
When you asked for a cup of water, did you buy anything else? Did you place an order?
Question: What is d material of recyclable Water Cup used predominantly in offices ? does tht cup cause Env pollution? This is the cup that is used for tea cofee as well, thoose place beside the Coffe Vending machine.
Answer: Coffee cups are made of two materials.
The first type is the paper cup that is lined with a wax to make the cup water resistant. The cup is polluting because it consumes paper (which is highly water and energy intensive) and releases carbon dioxide back into the environment as the paper starts to decay or is incinerated. The wax is also polluting because it is made of oil. However, only a small amount is used.
The second type, which is the one you are probably talking about, is made out of plastic - specifically PVC. This type of PVC is NOT recyclable. It is also pollutive because it is made out of oil, you would bury it rather than burn it.
Which is worse for the environment? Ironically, the paper one is worse because it uses more earth resources to make (but this is debatable). That is why I use my own ceramic cup to drink coffee and I resuse plastic bags (rather than keep asking for new paper bags). I also forgo those stupid cloth bags. You want to talk about a product that consumes a lot of earth resources - cotton. Plastic is very thin, very efficient, very strong which means that I am using something that is very bad, but I am using less of it.
Question: Where can you buy an art cart with wheels, like to put your paints, water cup, etc. on while painting? I remember how useful they were in art class, but now I can't find one anywhere!!
Thanks.
Answer: They are often referred to as taborets. Most Art supply companies have them. Here is a link to a variety of different types through Dick Blick:

Question: Can my cat and I share the same water cup? our cat has been vaccinated and spayed, and usually stays indoors. I have a habit of keeping a glass of H2O by my bed, and recently she has found it, and started drinking from it also, both with her tongue and paw. (She also has her dedicated water bowl near her food as well.) Is it OK if I drink/ sip my water after she drinks from it? Is this "cute" or are there health hazards I should know about?
Answer: It's not going to hurt you, but I recommend switching to a water bottle with a cap. If she's sticking her paws in it, then it's only a matter of time before she knocks a glass of water over and makes a mess.
Question: Why do I after to use a different meauring cup for water, than sugar? I was making something and it said add 2 cups of water, so I used the same measuring cup I use for sugar to add 2 cups of water and it didn't taste right. And I was told it's because I used the wrong type of cup. Why does the water cup hold more than the sugar cup?
lol, My title should be
"Why do I have to use a different measuring cup for water, than sugar?"
Sorry
Answer: Dry goods like sugar or flour measure differently than water due to different consistencies. That's why you should always make sure to measure liquids in a liquid measuring cup and dry goods in a regular measuring cup.
Question: Kitchenware: Where can I find this cup water heating device? I need the home version of it. This is a picture of it:

Does Walmart sell it or any department store? Anywhere I can order it in the web?
Answer: It's an immerser. I have one that I take when I'm travelling. Any major department store should carry them or a hardware store (that's where I got mine). I believe you can get them in sports/camping stores now that you can plug into the cigarette lighter cavity.
Question: Can i be legally prosecuted for putting soda in a free water cup at a fast food restaurant?
Answer: Shoplifting is not just walking out of a store without paying for goods. Shoplifting includes any form of deception where the defendant did not pay the asking price of the merchandise.
so yes, you could be prosecuted, although it would be extremely unlikely.
Question: what are the lyrics to soda in a water cup? by attila?
Answer: I can't post it because of the language...but why is this in Non-Alcoholic beverages...? I left a link.
Question: what kinda trouble would I get for filling a water cup with soda.? If a cop saw me and arrested me what kind of trouble would I face.
Answer: Legally it would technically be retail fraud,or shop lifting, however the worst that would hapen is they might tell you to pay for it and possibly the resturant would tel you never to come back. No one is going to arrest you or charge you with a crime for that..the true cost of a large fountain soda is about .03 cents each, even retail price your under a $2 cash value,no one is wasting their time for that..however they ever do,plead not guilty, insist on going to trial, ask for several post ponements/continuences and do everything in your power to drag it out as long as possible make them prove it was soda you took, not water and that the soda contents of your cup were all soda not part water ,etc, generally make it as costly and annoying as possible for the resturant (having to pay to send employees to testify, etc) it would go away real quick....but no one is ever gonna do more than tel you to pay for the soda or leave, its considered expected loss by the sellers,if 50 people stole the soda and 1 actually paid for it ,they still make a profit, and the only people they ever even pester about it is the kids that come in a loiter while asking for cups of water ( most places run those kids off and prohibit loitering) also a lot of places out west they charge you for the cup of water (no free water in some states) thats not part of a meal purchase..
Question: Whats the worst that could happen from getting a water cup at mcdonalds and getting soda instead?
Answer: They'll probably swipe the cup from you and say, "This ain't Burger King ... you can't 'have it your way'!!!
Question: Is it illegal to refuse a water cup at a restaurant like Chipotle or Subway? I was refused a water cup at a Chipotle in Maryland and wanted to know if it is illegal.
Answer: What does your manager tell you?-
Question: My ferret just knocked over its water cup over and it went under the fridge what shud i do?
im afraid to go under my fridge
Answer: The water cup went under the fridge, or the ferret did? Either way, can you push it out / nudge it out with a long stick, like the handle of a broom?
Question: A certain water fountain has a conical water cup. The height of the cup is 1.5 inches.? The cup has a radius of 1.1 inches. The water cup has a hole in the bottom that leaks water at a rate of 0.3 cubic inches. How fast is the water level dropping when the height of the water is at 1 inch?
Answer: Consider a vertical cross section of the cup. For all times t > 0, the water in this cross section forms an isosceles triangle that is similar to the triangle formed by the cup. (This is obvious from a sketch.)
Therefore,
2r/h = 2R/H = 1.1/1.5 = 11/15
Therefore, for all t > 0,
r = 11h/15
At times t > 0 (until the cup empties), the volume V of water in the cup is given by
V = (π/3)r²h
You are given the values of dV/dt and are asked to find dh/dt when h=1. So use the relationship derived above between r and h to get V in terms of h only:
V = (π/3)(11h/15)²h = (121π/675)h³
Now, by the chain rule,
dV/dt = (dV/dh) (dh/dt)
so
dh/dt = (dV/dt) / (dV/dh)
Compute dV/dh, evaluate it at h=1, and use the given dV/dt = -0.3.
dh/dt < 0, which means that the height of water in the cup decreases with time. I'm not sure whether "dropping" carries that sense of decreasing.
Question: If I put four type of spoons(medal, wood, plastic, and glass) in a hot water cup, which is to be hot first? So, this is a question of daughter, a science geek.
She needs to know, if medal, wood, plastic, or glass, would be that hottest. She'll experiment after that first answer comes! So please, it's a easy question, I know it, but...I want my kid to solve it.
Thanks!
Answer: The spoon that is made of the most heat conductive material...which I'm guessing would be the metal one.
Question: USA measuring cup(measure flour cup not water cup)=how many gram? Q1:usa measuring cup(measure flour cup not water cup)=how many gram?
Q2:usa measuring cup(measure water cup)=how many c.c. or ml?
thank you for telling me.good luck everyday.
Answer: Cup
An American customary unit of volume used in cooking recipes and pharmaceutic prescriptions. A cup means 8 fluid ounces, about 236.6 milliliters (1 fluid ounce is 1/128 US gallon ).
The density of flour is about 125 grams/cup, i.e., one cup of flour is about 125 grams.
Question: Have you ever got a water cup at a fast food restaurant and pour soda from the fountain instead? i just did...i feel soooo sneaky
Answer: We would go to BK after summer school and order food everyday. They kept the swizzle sticks in a cup next to the soda fountain. We would take turns dumping out the swizzle sticks and enjoying free soda. At least until we were told not to return by the district manager after a little Timbit war in the dining room.
Question: Is 190 degrees (F) enough to sanitize my water cup? The sink at my work has a 'steaming' water dispenser that pours water out at 190 degrees f. Is that enough to kill the germs in my water cup?
Answer: 140 will kill salmonilla and botullism, 150 for e-coli and most other bacterial pathogens. 160 to 170 will kill most viral and fungal things, so, at 190 you're well within the sanitization of things.
Question: Do you go to fast food places ask for a free water cup and then get soda?
Answer: No, that's ghetto.
Question: is it ok to ask for a water cup and then get soda at a fast food chain? i dont think its a big deal because i think the food chain makes enough that it wont miss a little cup off soda
Answer: omg i did that at a mcdonalds in seattle...the guy freaked out...cus i pushed the coke button...its a habit...coke is my fave pop...and he just tweaked...he was threatening to call the cops and stuff...so i poured the pop out in the garbage can as a big f*ck you.....i got water...and he was...just tweakin...its wierd
Question: Why are all the fast food places getting so cheap with their water cups lately? I've noticed that in the last year, they've shrank to the size of a dixie cup. Some are even going so far as to charge for water?
Answer: Skyler, I couldn't agree more. I love to drink water, LOTS of it. I always ask for a "LARGE ice water"....and they give me a paper cup the size of a thimble. So I just go back as many times as I need to to ask for more water.
Idiots!
I think they just do it because they are trying to save money.
