Thiamin

Question: Which of the following is a characteristic of thiamin nutrition? a.) The coenzyme contains pyrosulfate b.) It is required for regeneration of folate c.) It is required for regeneration of niacin d.) It is an integral part of the nerve cell membrane I was thinking A but thiamin is the vitamin part of the coenzyme TTP (thiamin pyrophosphate) not pyrosulfate...right? But i was also thinking D since thiamin occupies a special site on the membranes of nerve cells.

Answer: I'm guessing its D cos all the alcoholics are given thiamine 100mg tds to prevent wernickes encephalopathy, a brain disease where they lose the ability to speak
