Question: What's a fairly safe, fairly reasonable area ($1300 for a two bedroom) place to live between Reseda and DT LA? I am moving to LA. The person I am living with works in Reseda and I would be working right in the heart of LA. We are looking for a two bedroom in the 1000 range. We are two females and want something fairly safe and in between the two jobs. Any ideas?

Question: What are good high schools near Reseda? I'm considering Cleveland High, Granada Hills Charter High and SOCES. I want an academically challenging program. Are these schools good? Are there any other good schools around? Also, is Cleveland High an open enrolment school?

Answer: My alma mater is GHCHS, it's a great school, little to no violence, excellent academics, etc, etc. It's actually one of the TOP public high schools nationwide. Let me just put it this way, on average at least 90% of all graduating seniors go to college, and that is AMAZING for LA. If you're looking to be in sports then this is not the school for you, the football team sux unbelievably! Unfortunately there is a HUGE waiting list to get into that school, and unless you actually live in Granada Hills, you won't be able to get in. And yes, as others have stated, the Los Angeles Unified School District has made it almost impossible to go to the school of your choice, you'll end up going to the school within your district. Sorry to say that Cleveland SUX, a lot of gang problems and little to give students in terms of academics.

Answer: none because metrolink is the commuter train you could take to burbank or glendale then take a ventura train to northridge or van noys better yet you could take take the metro (the bus) instead

Around 9-10 last night we saw what looked like northern lights in the sky around my house. Blue, red, yellow and white flashing lights in one area around the West Valley Police Station.

The sun activity should now be increasing after its lowest part of the 11 years cycle but observers notice that, quite unusually, the number of sun spots isn't increasing at all. Answer: All of the websites I checked only refer to "citizens of Reseda", not Resedans or Resedians. You'd think that they would have designated something as official. I grew up in Torrance. I was a "Torrancian". Dumb. My wife lived in Reseda for a while in the 1980's. She says that her and her friends referred to themselves as "Resedue".

Question: I am living in Los Angeles (Reseda) California for 3 months this summer. I would like to know what to see? Answer: The problem is that you will be in Southern California, and you are thinking of all the natural beauty in NORTHERN California. In Southern California, you should see the coast along PCH, from Santa Monica northward. Since SoCal is a desert, you won't find large forests and waterfalls. The desert has its own beauty, and a good thing to visit is the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway,which takes you above the desert to the top of Mt. San Jacinto. Have fun!

Question: I will be visiting Southern CA in June. I need to get from Reseda to Disneyland by public transit. Any ideas? I use a mobility scooter/wheelchair. Answer: your best bet is to get to the Metrolink station in Northridge, which is located on Parthenia Street between Reseda Blvd. and Tampa Ave. Take the metrolink to LA Union Station. At LA Union Station, take the Orange County Line to Anaheim. The Anaheim station is located on Katella Avenue, the same street where Disneyland is located. Walk to the nearest bus stop, and take the first westbound bus. Disneyland is about 2 miles down katella.
