Polygonum Cuspidatum
Question: I need information on Resveratrol. There are many veriations on the market.....which are the recommended.? I am interested in buying Resveratrol. I have two questions:
I also take Tekturna 150mg. Is it safe in taking both of these together.
Secondly, i am somewhat confused about the Resveratrol. I thought it was derived from grape skins. i ordered it online and when it arrived yesterday the main ingredient was listed as "polygonum cuspidatum".
Can you clarify what Resveratrol supposed to be as I am anxious about taking these pills. Any information would be appreciated.
Answer: I reckon you are wasting your money and would rather have a glass or two of a good red wine or fresh fruit.
Read the site on the link, all it 'may' or 'can' or 'could' do. Not you are guaranteed it WILL.
Resveratrol is an antioxidant present in a wide variety of plants. Wine and grape juice are among the best dietary sources of resveratrol. ...

Question: Dental issues - What the heck? (root canal, TMJ, infection, allergy???)? I had a root canal a week ago on a tooth that I am guess-timating that I (accidentally) let go for months. I had an allergic reaction the anesthetic that was used. This resulted in large blister like sore on the roof of my mouth a lot of additional inflamation around the tooth that was worked on. (I had to be anesthitized about 6-7 times during this root canal becaused we were all surprised to discover a third canal, so the reaction was bad/painful.) I was put on topical steroids and additional Vicodin. It has been a week since the root canal and 24 hours since I got off the antibiotics (clindamycin), and the blister on the roof of my mouth and the inflamation is killing me. It takes Vicodin, Advil and Benadryl to get pain-free for a while and then I'm just stoned out of my mind. When I use Benzocaine on the blister, the topical pain is gone but I still feel a good throb in my mouth (top & bottom), head, jaw, neck, and ear. Im seeing a TMJ Dr Tuesday. WHAT IS THIS??! WHAT DO I DO??!
Ive had to make extra calls t my dentist with this whole thing; surprise allergy to Penicillin, pain, inflamation; Im at my wits end and feeling really unmotivated to do anything else because I still hurt.
I had an XRay as recently as 4 days ago and I got an all clear on the possibility of additional abscess. The blister showed up on one of the anesthetic injection shites.
Answer: HELLO,
HERE'S THE ANSWER, THIS TOOTH IS INFECTED AND EVERY ONE OF THE ROOTS HAVE TO BE FOUND AND PROPERLY FILLED FOR THE INFECTION TO VANISH. THIS IS NOT TMJD BUT A TOOTH THAT NEEDS EITHER PROPER REPAIR OR EXTRACTION.
THE BUMP IS FROM A CANAL THAT WAS MISSED AND AFTER PROPER FILLING WILL CLEAR UP.
ps. advil works better than vicodin at pain control.
Question: Leela James or Joss Stone who's voice and style do you like better please look inside? Joss Stone
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHUcwqIZ0tQ
Leela James
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uv9SAFkKPQ8
In my opinion i like Leela's voice better even though she is not as popular as Joss to me she has the more natural tone and warmness to her songs and her music is more authentic and closer to the soul music roots.
I have nothing against Joss just to let you know but what do you guys think
Answer: Leela James is my girl, I love her voice.
I just can't get with Joss and I don't know why
Question: how to grow cherry trees from cherry stones? i have a cheery tree that that i want to grow trres from the sones. i would like to know how best to go about this, ie. when to plant, inside or out, do they need heat to germinate etc. also do i need to graft them onto another root stock or will they take ok as they are. many thanks.
Answer: You might be able to grow a cherry tree from seeds obtained at your supermarket
but the cherries would not be as desirable as the one you started with. Most
tree fruits are propagated by grafting.
Cherry seeds need a cold (40 degrees F) moist stratification for 3 to 5 months.

Question: How deep must I plant climbing roses? My house is only 2 yrs old and has the usual chipped stones round its immediate exterior.
I want to plant climbing roses against the wall, How deep must the soil be and how much room do the roots need to acheive their maximium growth,
Also how far can I spread the plants but still have full coverage fo the wall
Answer: You will have to set them back a little to miss the house footings.Dig a really deep hole and fill with good compost, the hole wants to be at least a foot in diameter so the roots can spread away from the footings.Put in the rose about 4 inches deep.Plant about 1 foot apart.Concrete can poison roots so make sure the hole is wide enough.
Question: Indoor succulent plant display in a dish of rocks? Hello,
When planting succulents (with roots) indoors, can they just be covered with small stones or do they have to have some kind of soil or potting mix for nutrients? Am intersted in making a small indoor feature with pebbles and already struck succulents in. Do they have to go out side every now and then for sunlight? and can they be watered or just be sprayed with a mist when looking limp? And what about holes in the pot or dish? Really appreciate any advice. Thank you!
Answer: Yes you need a succulent potting mix. It's a bit more sandy than normal mix,but usually normal potting mix is fine as well.I use the same and my succulents are doing well.Rocks around looks great.I have a little mexican figurine sitting next to the rocks.
Now succulent plants need a lot of sunlight, either outside or indoors.A hole would be good in the dish, but if you put pebbles underneath is fine too.Just make sure you do not over water them.Maybe once every 14 days.If the leafs look full and lush they're ok.If they start to shrivel up a bit they need water.
Question: Why do I like to get stoned and watch Richard Dawkins documentaries? Is this a common thing? i mean, this always happens to me.
I like Root of Evil...
Answer: I don't know why or how common this is, but I think I'm in love with you.
Question: Is it weird to ask for painkillers after a crown and/or root canal? I recently went to the dentist for pain and sensitivity that I have been experiencing in one of my lower molars. He told me the tooth is cracked (apparently the filling I have in the tooth wore it out...or something of that nature) so will need a crown or, possibly, a root canal. I've had throbbing pain and tylenol and advil have done nothing...I've kind of been popping them like candy. I can't take aspirin because I have a history of low platelet counts and it has lowered my counts in the past. He gave me antibiotics because I have mitral valve issues and vicodin, which I requested because I'm afraid to be caught off-guard with pain. When I requested the Vicodin I felt like he got a little apprehensive about giving it to me. The way I see it, not only is the vicodin a precaution for sudden pain, it also saves me money. It's much cheaper for me to have the meds, than to not have them, get a sudden, intense, unbearable pain at 3am and have to rush to the ER where I'd have to pay for the visit, tests, etc. that my insurance doesn't cover.
Anyway, I know myself and my past experiences have shown me that I have a pretty low tolerance for dental pain. Mind you, I have a strong tolerance for other pains - I've had my spleen and gallbladder removed, I've had kidney stones, I've had bone marrow biopsies and I even walked around with a hairline fracture in my arm for a week before finding out it was broken and getting a cast - I'm no stranger to pain and do pretty well. However, dental pain is my weak point. When I go back to get the dental procedure done (hopefully, this coming week) - whether it be a crown or a root canal - should I go ahead and ask for the painkillers or should I chance it and hope I don't have a lot of pain? The prescription he gave me ran out yesterday...I didn't take them the first few days because I really didn't need them but, in the last 4 days the throbbing has progressed to the point where I had to take them. Do the doctors think you're an addict or something if you ask them for this or should you wait for them to prescribe it? Since they already gave me a prescription will they give me a hard time if I ask for another prescription post-procedure? Should I care?
Answer: Vicodin is a very abused drug and dentists get leery if someone asks for them. I do believe you have a valid request and I would prescribe some for you. But some other drugs you may consider is Tylenol #3 or a NSAID like Anaprox. Be honest to the dentist and explain what you have stated here.
Question: Can the Packers beat the Pats, and what would it take to do so? A lot of people are rooting for Green Bay to beat New England in the Super Bowl (I know the teams aren't set in stone here, but about 70% of people figure this is how the game will line up). Can Green Bay beat New England, and if so, how?
Answer: Haha, I like how everybody just assumes that Green Bay is going to beat New York, even though I am pretty sure that Green Bay is going to, I just think it is very humorous.
Question: What do I do with tree roots? I have a tree that was too deeply covered with soil. Apparently having trouble breathing and limbs dying. Someone advised me to dig out the soil until the roots surfaced. Now I have a huge hole around the tree. Any ideas of what to do to fill the hole? Stones? And do I leave the roots showing or cut them?
Answer: cover the hole and roots with stones or mulch
