Pagoda Tree
Question: where can i buy Extract from the Japanese pagoda tree? .. ? lol
do you think they sell it at the hong kong food market??
Answer: Perhaps you could try a health store as they thrive on herbal remedies.
Question: Can anyone tell me what type of tree this is? I have a large tree in my yard, and I am wondering what it is. I live in Western NC, and in the spring the tree had little brown balls that would almost disingrate into pollen puffs. My car literally looked like it was hit with a yellow paintball gun. When I search the leaves it comes up as a Japanese pagoda tree, but it doesn't flower...but the leaves look exactly like that... anyone have a clue?

Answer: Your tree looks like a species of ash (Fraxinus). I believe the first photo is to show the bark of the tree, rather than the leaves (which appear to be sweetgum, Liquidambar styraciflua).
The smoothness of the margins leads me to think it's a white ash (Fraxinus americana): http://www.fw.vt.edu/dendro/dendrology/syllabus/factsheet.cfm?ID=46 but you may be better to decide this. This is an on;ine key to identify trees in the Eastern US: http://www.arborday.org/trees/whattree/WhatTree.cfm?ItemID=E6A and this is the tree I believe you have: http://www.arborday.org/trees/whattree/WhatTree.cfm?ItemID=E25a
Question: I just found a hemorrhoid, now what do I do? I just found it today no more then an hour ago and I don't like it one bit.
I been looking up cures and what not at work and I found something called "Japanese Pagoda Tree", does anyone know anything about it?
Other then that, I know i have some Tucks at home.
Anything anyone know about this nasty little thing I found on me would be greatly appreciated!
Answer: Don't worry we all get them. If you are male tell your bf no more sex until it heals. If you are female tell you bf to use the front end until it heals. Good luck.
Question: what medicine brand/tablets contain Sophora japonica in india.? Sophora japonica - Styphnolobium japonicum
Extract of the Japanese Pagoda Tree
Well I want product which i can buy from medical/chimest shop
Answer: That is not technically a medicine / drug so its not going to be available at a pharmacy.. Maybe try a natural health store.. Make sure you understand the effects and side effects of this product first.. even herbal products have side effects..
Question: Have you heard of "phenology" and would you participate? Phenology is defined as "The study of recurring plant and animal life cycles". http://www.usanpn.org
What you do is take a picture of a tree or lake or river shore every week at or about the same time for at least a year. A good personal project might be a vacant field, especially if there's any possibility of development. You could choose a meadow and document the changes of the seasons.
I'm a volunteer photographer at Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest and my subjects are Lake Nevin, a Weeping Pagoda tree and the Big Meadow. http://www.bernheim.org
Answer: Sounds like fun. I do have pictures of the same place at different times, in particular an old oak tree in the pasture near the house, but they were not made at regular intervals. I may have to give this a try.
Question: What do you call the kind of artwork where a scene is made of shaped pieces of shell? We have a big framed piece that shows a mountainscape with pagodas and boats, everything is made out of what looks like abalone, except the trees which are some kind of green shell or rock. We don't know anything about this kind of art.
Is it a mosaic? It's kind of 3D, pieces cut to look like trees and things, not like a picture made from tiny pieces of the same color.
It's definately an Asian piece, but I don't know specifics.
Answer: the shaped pieces would make one think Mosaic,
http://www.richmondjmp.org/arts.html
yet with your details, one may think it is Relief art

Question: Why on earth should anyone respect culture, religion or tradition? Why on earth should anyone respect culture, religion or tradition?
Wheres the logical rationality in following rules or codes of conduct etc simply as its always been done or somone or some book says so?
As opposed to anaylsing whether its a fair, just good and benefitcal to society thing or not?
For example...
Bonzai trees, pagodas, Tai chi, noodle soup all are harmless and make life fun and pretty.
Arabian food is nice and yummy, the ismalic ban on alcohol makes sense given all the trouble you get or at least very restricted...
These are understandable.
Likewise tradional dances and some not all dress.
But things like a veil that hides a face and personality and identity and person, foot binding that cripples children, forced marriage and family honour akin to human trafficing sex slavoury.
Wheres the good in that?
Why not look as see gays... tradionally and relgiously deemed bad likewise witches.
But have they are a whole done anything
done anything nasty to anyone unproked?
Not that Im aware of...
Often I see gays being great at comedy, the creative arts, cooking, haircuts etc.
Witches associating with new age shops of chill out music, josticks and positve attiudes to woemn , peace, love, sex and respect and harmony with nature.
I undersatnd in the desert many years ago pork would have been dangerous in steams of going off.
But now we have freezers, hygenic cooking and food safety.
its not as though pigs are usually pets.
I may not like classical music but it ain't hurting anyone or being used to control anyone.
Curries are good but I seriously doubt the origonator of sikhisim would want children and wifes crying that their dad is dead as his turban was a lousey crash helmet in an accident.
Im pretty sure he would have been up for a compromise of combining a turban and safety helmet that did not act as a crown of status.
So why persist to forcing the following of bad rules
Simply as tradition, culture or relgion?
Especially horrendously hurtful, abusive, unfair, unjust, cruel, pointless and down right stupid actions?
Why not commun sense to work out which to keep, which to ditch and which to adopt from others.
And which are only good in certain circumstances but not in others or can be sensibly done ie you can drink only in moderation if and only if the effect it has on you is harmless to you or others ie table wine or you dont turn into a yob or get additced.
Or say gambling... pub poker yes, money high stakes poker that likely to be addictive or get dangerous no.
Likewise why not look at cultures deemed bad and working out are they really. ie heavey metal clubs despite the horror imagry are very safe and friendly and teach good values in looking after others and not abusing strenght, likewise witches are mostly hippy like.
Yest mush of islam and chrisitinaity despite saying its good causes a lot of hurt and harm and is unjust

We need to respect all that stuff for the sake of getting along with everyone else around and not to hurt/offend people who believe in em.

We are humans not animals so we have a culture to adapt to, a religion to follow and a tradition to uphold our morals. Simple rite?
NO , NOT WHEN THOSE MORALS LOGICALLY ARE WRONG AS CAUSING THE HURT.
SAY WHAT IT' ITS DEATH BY TORTURE FOR FALLING IN LOVE, OR THAT GIRLS OR GUYS MUST BE SUBMISSIVE TO THE OTHER SEX?
WHERES THE MORALITY IN THAT?
WHY ADHERE TO THAT?

Bothstop any hurtful practices and attack hurthul bullying practices in their own and other cultures.
Is that not better.
Plus was ware of the pagoda and earthquakes but thats in line with the poitn...

Answer: I feel you girl im short and wide(fat) too with a big ass! Lol. I would definetly go with something with a slight flair. Nothing too big but to too skinny either bc you want to even out your curves. Also stick with darker, slimming jeans. Be sure that they aren't too tight these will make you look bigger, and they are uncomfortable anyways!
As far as stores I usually go to Old Navy..but that isn't on your list so maybe H&M, JCPenney, and American Eagle.
Question: what does my dream mean? i was a servant in a victorian home, for the royal family, and they were having some sort of party. i went to clean the fire, there was a handle that cleaned it somehow, and all of a sudden it just started moving up and down very fast, all by itself. then i was talking to a man, who said he knew the previous owner of the house, and how he'd died, he had hung himself, on a tree over by the village green, and when we looked over, there was a large house, a bit like a pagoda, with a ledge around it, and there were lots of people dressed in witches costumes, and then we looked and there were loads of arrows being shot at them, and they all scarpered. then i was actually in the pagoda like thing, and i saw something, but itt was dark and i couldnt quite make it out. i tasted t and it was blood. then there was a tornado that swept me up into the roof of this house, and i had to collect these blue tiles, but i didnt know why. then i woke up.
i remember it all so vividly, which i dont normally do. does it have a meaning? and if so what is it?
Answer: errrr i dunno no lol
Question: Should I take out my cartilage earring? and and let it close.. read DETAILS!? I think im going to take my cartilage earring out and let it close. Because I pierced it on October 2008 and its almost going to be a year. And the bump is still there. Its been there for a good 7 or 8 months. And i've had it for 9 months. Its really irratating. I've been doing sea salt soaks and putting tea tree oil. and it's not helping and everytime I go to the piercer they tell me the same crap. I have REAL jewlery in it. 18k gold. And at this point theres a big bump and it feels like someone just punched me in the ear and its bruised. it's a bright red and it is bleeding for the past 2 weeks or so. And what is stupid is when I did the research everyone said to go to a tatoo parlor that does piercings profesionally. and I DID!. all my friends that ended up going to claires, icings, or piercing pagoda never had a bump and if they did it went away after 2 or 3 moths at most. and mine DONE PROFESIONALLY has a freaking bump. I know that if i take it out ill get it repierced but on the other ear. because i have it on my right and now i sleep on my right. so after this one closes up i will get it on the left. So do you guys think I should let it close? I will call the piercer tomorrow and tell them what i think. THANKS GUYS! <3
Answer: If you let it close that's not going to get rid of the bump (hypertrophic scarring btw) It's still going to be there.
Sometimes they are filled up with blood and can be very stubborn, and sometimes they refuse to go away because you are irriatiing it too much.
I had a stubborn one on my nose. I did sea salt soaks for a month, didn't help. Tea tree oil for over a week, didn't help. Left it completely alone no cleaning for two weeks didn't touch it, NOTHING, tried tea tree oil again and it worked after two days.
I have another one on my industrial again and it's being stubborn too, but that's my fault because I keep playing with the jewelry.
The stud isn't too short or long is it? That might be causing it.
Try leaving it completely alone for a week or two and use tea tree oil.
If it doesn't go away then, then every day just slightly squeeze it. Do not pop it and don't irriatate it too much, but if it's a blood bubble that's not coming out slowly and gently pushing on it will force it out.
Unless your allergic to the jewelry, i say you keep it in, because like I said it's not going to go away if you take it out, and by keeping it in you will have a way for any signs of infection or blood to evacuate, if you take it out and let it close then the stuff inside has no where to go.
Oh! Actually after you try the whole leave it alone for a while and then try tea tree oil, if that doesn't work try warm tea bags that really works for some people.
And if you are constantly changing the jewelry, that's why it's not going away. Do Not change the jewelry at all until it's gone (unless you are allergic/the stud doesn't fit) But you said you had 18k gold and if it was the wrong size I'm sure your piercer would have said something.
Question: Prom Decoration Question? I'm in this group that's in charge of all the cool stuff that happens at our school. This year our prom is Asian Themed. We are gonna have floating candles as centerpieces, a pagoda and pond with real fish at the entrance, bonsai trees, fortune cookies, folding fans on the walls, lanterns surrounding the dance-floor and a dragon somewhere. Color scheme is black and gold. Any ideas on what other cool ideas for decorations or any other advice for our Prom? Or places with good prices on Asian themed decorations? Thanks for the help guys, you rock! ~ :]
Answer: That's such a cool idea!!
You seem to have everything pretty much down, but here's a site anyway with some cheap party favors and stuff.
http://www.beau-coup.com/asian-wedding-favors.htm
its for weddings but i looked at it, and you could definitely use them for prom and such.
There are personalized paper fans and fortune cookies, you could put your schools name on the fans and cute fortunes in the cookies!
There were also fortune cookie holders that could hold your table number cards at prom with peoples' names on them (if you guys do that)
You could also make/order paper cranes as table decorations.

Question: A glimpse of the destruction of Nalanda.? To Soniya मोनिका
That day there was some peril in the heart of the Principal of Nalanda because Pal king Govind Pal had almost been defeated by Muahmmad-bin-Akhtiyaar. Principal was highly worried about the future of Nalanda. He recalled that golden period when a traveler came to India at the time of Principal SheelBhadra. Then he went to the rooms of the big libraries Ratnasagara, Ratnodadhi and Ratnaranjaka. He took out some book from the shelf. Then he look around the room. Millions of books were looking like the bricks of castle that was built for Goddess Saraswati. "My ancestors have spend thousands of years to collect this Gyan, Oh God ! Save this Gyan from disappearing in the flames", thought the Principal. It was very difficult for him to see the every corner of Nalanda because it was like a big city. Hundreds of pounds, reading rooms and parks look a like a country itself.
Just then a messenger came and said, "Sir, Arya Govind Pal has been defeated and slaughtered."
The principal has realized that it was not peril, it was the reality of future. He ran towards the statue of Arya Nagarjuna and requested him to do something but he himself knew that it is merely a statue. He went towards the tree where the snake Nalanda lived, He requested him to save this University and the lives of 15000 students and 1000 teachers because the University was named on its name.
But he knew that his every effort was futile. Without wasting a single moment he announced emergency in the University. All students were ordered to leave the University immediately but It was too late because all the Muslim soldiers had covered all temples, Pagodas and the University Nalanda. There was no escape.
After three days, when a shepherd went there, he saw a ground that was created after collapsing a mountain. The ground was covered with the crows and vultures who were enjoying a feast. Feast of blood and flesh of the students who came here to earn Gyan from the countries like China, Japan, Tibet, Burma, Greek, Malay etc.
Three gigantic libraries were still smoldering and kept smoldering for a couple of months. Gyan that was collected by the mankind in this Aryavart had again mingled into the Shoonya.
"Ponds" in the place of "pounds."
Sharma ji, Strange that Hindu are considered responsible for this while Hinduism and Buddhism were largely taught in this university.
pls check this link:-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nalanda
Some Buddhist literature and British historian tried a lot to drag Hinduism into a fanatic cult.First of all Arya invasion theory. Pushyamitra Shunga and now this.......... I think we should bring a neutral research on this.
Answer: An excellent and eloquent question from the one whose very presence in this forum makes it special for all of us. When I read about Nalanda, I weep for the monks who were burned alive -- but sometimes tears are not enough. Nalanda was the greatest university the world has ever known and it was frequented by both Hindus and Buddhists alike. It was a center of learning for the best that Indian wisdom had to offer -- which was indeed the best that the world has ever known. The gyan of Nalanda was God's gift to India which India shared with the world.
The fact that the Muslim barbarians could burn it to the ground with the monks inside shows the level to which they have no scruples or morals. And yet what pains me even more is to know that most Hindus today are perfectly willing to appease Muslims and give them a higher place in Indian society than the Buddhists. I may be a foreigner in the eyes of Indians but my love for the Dharma can match if not outshine any of theirs. Ironic indeed!
The bottom line is that tears are not enough. Every person who has ever felt spiritual owes a debt of gratitude to the monks of Nalanda. And every Indian bears a responsibility to make sure that their memory is honored. We can honor it by living like they taught us and teaching their dharma to everyone we can. So that they know that they will always be immortal to us all. We must also stand up against the Muslim extremists and deal with them with such a firm hand so as to never let them destroy the dharma again. When I find Hindus and Buddhists pretending that Muslims are peaceful and equal to us Aryans, it sickens me. And it insults the blood-stained memory of the monks of Nalanda.
There is however some karmic justice after all. Today Islam is the most hated religion and Buddhism/ Hinduism the world's most beloved. In the west everyone is into yoga and karma and meditation and everyone hates Islam. Every Muslim country is underdeveloped from Africa to the middle East while India, Japan and China -- the countries that honor Nalanda are flourishing and poised to be the next big superpowers. After the Muslims bombed the Bamiyani Buddhas their entire country was taken over and the Taliban expunged -- today it is a war zone. This is not a coincidence. No country can prosper if it turns its back on the last great Avatar of Vishnu.
Hindus and Buddhists should unite to honor the Nalanda tradition which also gave birth to Tibetan Buddhism and they should stand united against the horrific barbarism of the Muslim invaders. If they fail to do this, Nalanda will repeat itself .... as it did in your fancy hotels on 26/11.

Since you're giving him some indie stuff too I would suggest adding the song In The Aeroplane Over The Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel.
Ooh, also if you want, add Salute Your Solution by The Raconteurs. They're a side project of Jack White's.
