Question: Why was Tinker Bell making fairy dust for the lost boys in Peter Pan? and also who were the lost boys?
Answer: So they could fly.
They are boys who were lost by their nannies in places such as Kensington Gardens. Having gone unclaimed for seven days, they were wisked off to Neverland, where they live with Peter Pan. There are no "lost girls", because (as Peter explains) girls are too clever to be lost in this manner.
List of Lost Boys
* Tootles - Tootles is the most central of the Lost Boys, appearing in almost all Peter Pan related material. He is described as the most humble of the lost boys because of his terrible luck with adventures: as soon as Tootles goes away to complete a chore or somesuch, bloody battles and thrilling adventures take place. Because of this he has become accepting of his lot in life, and is much sweeter for it. He is the one who shoots Wendy Darling with a bow and arrow after Tinker Bell tells them Wendy is a bird, and convinces them that killing her would bring great favor with Peter, and when the mistake is discovered he tells Peter to kill him. However, since Wendy survives, Tootles is spared. Though he is titled clumsy and silly, Tootles is the first to defend Wendy when she wants to return to London. When Peter takes possession of The Jolly Roger, Captain Hook's pirate ship, Tootles takes Smee's place as boatswain. At the end of the novel he returns to London with Wendy and the other lost boys and eventually grows up to become a judge. In Peter Pan in Scarlet he turns into a girl because he only has daughters to borrow clothes from, and spends most of the book playing princess and dreaming about marrying Peter Pan. His character is largely minimized in the animated Disney version, as he has no lines of dialogue; he wears a skunk suit in this film.
* Nibs - Nibs is described as happy, joyful and debonair, possibly the bravest Lost Boy. He is chased by wolves in chapter five, and tattles on Slightly in chapter ten. He says the only thing he remembers about his mother is that she always wanted a cheque-book; he says he would love to give her one. He grows up to work in an office, and in Peter Pan in Scarlet is the only Lost Boy not to return to Neverland, because he can't bear the thought of leaving his children.
* Slightly - Slightly is, along with Tootles, the most central Lost Boy and often provides comic relief. In the original book he is described as the most conceited of the boys, because he believes that he, unlike the others, remembers what life was like before he was "lost." However, most of his "memories" are either based on misunderstandings or pure fabrications: one example is that he claims to know what his last name is - his pinafore had the words "Slightly Soiled" written on the tag. Slightly is apparently a poor make-believer, but he does seem to have a talent for music; he is described as cutting whistles and flutes from the branches of trees and dancing to tunes he creates himself, and in Peter Pan in Scarlet he plays the clarinet and even saves the day a couple of times with his music. Slightly grows up to marry a noblewoman and becomes a lord, though in Peter Pan in Scarlet he has become a widower at the age of thirty and is the only one of the Lost Boys not to father any children.
* Curly ("Cubby" in the Disney version) - Curly is the most troublesome Lost Boy, described by Barrie as "a pickle" (a person who gets into pickles). He is in charge of building the little house in chapter six. Curly grows up to work in an office; however, in Peter Pan in Scarlet he is a doctor and also the owner of one of Nana's great-grandpuppies.
* The Twins - First and Second Twin know little about themselves - they are not allowed to, because Peter Pan does not know what Twins are, and no Lost Boy is allowed to know anything that Peter doesn't. The Twins grow up to work in an office. In Peter Pan in Scarlet, their real names are revealed to be Marmaduke and Binky.
Question: Where Can i watch tinker bell and the great fairy rescue online for free no survey? my little sister wants to watch it.. is there any place free with no download or surveys were i can watch it?
Answer: I use http://www.graboịd.com to get kid's shows for my daughter. There is a download though, so I'm not sure if that's what you want to hear. They have Tinker Bell if you change your mind.
Question: Has anyone else heard of Robert Pell - composer of Bells for Christmas - an Xmas tape from the 1980s in the UK? "Bells for Christmas is a new christmas fairy tale which is told on Side one of Here comes Christmas. It is punctuated by songs specially composed for the story and the children who sing them. Side Two features many carols, songs and poems for the season - both ones which are well loved and those less widely known."
This is the inset for the tape. We have had it for 20 years and listen every year. We want to know if more people listen and perhaps find the composer - Robert Pell.
Answer: I haven't heard of it, but I love finding the obscure to enjoy.
Question: Do you think that the Movie " Tinker bell and the Great Fairy rescue " promote irrationality ? One of the lines that really concern me is that when the Fairy said " You don't need to Understand , you need only to believe " . And the movie present a scientist father as a maniac who has ignoring something really obvious - in this case the Garden fairies - to the viewer - in this case the child - .
Answer: it doesn´t promote irrationality that´s only a part of someone´s life
Question: What does it mean when you are a fairy in your dreams? I have been having absolutely strange dreams lately. There was a traveling carnival with games, clowns, mimes and rides. The carnival was at the river's edge. Everyone who went to the carnival and everyone who worked there had a fairy who lived in their closet. I was a fairy in my dream. My soon to be ex-husband's fairy. Everyone was dressed in costume. The dream was silent and I followed him through out the carnival. We stopped at the game where you take the hammer and hit the thing to make the bell ring. And the only sound i heard was the bell. The dream was really wierd.....What do you think it means?
Answer: It means that your unconscious might like fairies. Other than that dreams don't really matter. They are just your unconscious working things out, and sometimes it does it in a strange fashion.
I had a dream about terrorists taking over a hospital. I was on the SWAT team trying to rescue them. We were doing pretty well until we reached the elevator shaft and the terrorists used explosives to destroy the cable. The elevator dropped on the whole group of us and I died. That was 20-30 years ago and I am still kicking. I was never a cop, I have never been a on anything like a SWAT team and I have never been in an elevator shaft. I don’t have any fear of elevators and I have been stuck in them before (not of long though, and well after I had that dream).
I have dreamed in both color and black and white. In one dream I dreamed of a Hot Wheels car, the Spitting Image, on a launch pad all set to take off (hey I was a kid at the time.. Everything was in black and white, except for a red light in the engine compartment. Some how it had lost the two gasoline engines. The ship was poised for take off and waiting for me. I really wanted to know what the power source was. I was working on a science fiction design for a space ship at the time. So I thought the dream was really important; so important that I told my family about it. That dream wasn't important though, I didn't work anything out, or receive any new ideas from it. It was just a dream.
Once I had a dream, a nightmare, that the house was on fire, and the walls were covered in bugs. I was running around the house following the captain (captain of what I never knew). We just ran in circles with the walls burning. Somehow the bugs weren’t getting killed and the house wasn’t collapsing (that’s a dream for you). I like fire, and could be a pyromaniac if I was unstable. When I was a teenager it was my job to start the grill. Once I put on too much lighter fluid and I singed my eyebrows. My mother laughed and laughed, after she got over being worried about me. It didn't turn me off from fire (do you remember the Tom Hanks movie Castaway? "I made FIRE! I made Fire! deep inside every man feels that) . I don't like bugs anymore than the next person, but I wasn't totally grossed out by the second Indiana Jones movie; the one where Kate Capshaw had to stick her hand into the bug covered niche so she could pull the lever that would stop Indiana Jones and Short Round from being pierced and crushed to death.
A dream, is a dream, is a dream. If you worry about them and let them control your life then you are the poorer for it. If you just laugh them off, or put them down to just being something strange then you stay in control of your life.
Now if you are fairy, and you are in the middle of a divorce, and you are deaf, then I would start to wonder. But, I don’t think any of it really matters. If it did matter how could you respond: not wear a fairy costume? Or maybe you will have to avoid Ring the Bell games at carnivals. I doubt if those will make a difference. Otherwise your dream was just an odd one.
Question: How do I become a fairy, or see one at least? I have always wanted to become or see a fairy all of my life, well ever since I knew about fairies, and I feel more happy and want to see/be one way more after I see Tinker Bell the movie! SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!!! Also, none saying that fairies don't exist because I believe what I believe.
Answer: You can't become a fairy. You either come into existence as one, or not.
You came into existence as a human. You can't change what you are, any more than a horse can change into a cat simply because it wants to...
Humans also cannot see fairies except in their imagination, because that is the way the human eye is designed. Again, you cannot change what you are, which is a human.
Beyond that, you can imagine and fantasize, but nothing more.
Also, be aware that "Tinkerbell" the movie is NOT a real fairy, it is a DRAWING ANIMATION of a human fantasy about a fairy.
As a human, you cannot become a drawing, either...
Question: Fairy gifts..? How do you know if the fairy takes your gifts or not? I've heard that sometimes they only take the soul of it because it is lighter, so even though they took it, it still appears to be there. I also know your not suppose to take it back then, because it's rude. If I leave a ribbon, and it appears untouched, I don't want to leave it there forever in my garden, that's littering.
Also, what other things can i leave them? I heard coins were bad. Do fairy bells attract them? Where might I find some?
Please don't leave rude comments. Why look under the folklore section if you don't believe?
I don't want to attract a leprechaun. That's completely different. I want to attract garden fairies.
Answer: They love milk and honey and wine. Those are easy to leave for them because once they have taken the part they want, you can just dump the rest in your garden and let the earth have it. That way you are not rude to the fairies and not littering. They also love anything shiny, like crystals, so you could always make a decorative spot in your garden and just leave the items there for the fairies to enjoy.
Hope this helps, and good luck with the fairies!!
Question: my moms dog shakes from fear of thunder storms, rain. and a tinker bell / fairy sound effect? He shakes uncontrolabley in fear and if just really freaked out. when it rains and thumders he does that and on tv when theres like a tinkerbell fairy dinking thing sound he gets really freaked out also the ding when you get a im in yahoo. any ideas what we should do or what might treat it or what causes it?? thanks !!
Answer: Hmmm, he might have a small problem in his brain function in his hearing section that might be making the noises louder than they really are and might be hurting his ears, that and old age.My austrailian sheperd Ginger has a tumor on her skull that has grown into the size of a baseball, and she hates the oven beeping, the microwave door being opened and closed, and also opening the fridge/freezer door.He might be develping a sickness in the brains hearing center making him hate the sounds, dogs have very good hearing and can hear radio waves we cant even hear so that might possibley the problem.Try asking the Vet to check the dogs brain with a scan to see if there's something wrong and to check his hearing with a test some vets do to check the hearing of dogs and cats to see if they are going deaf.hope you solve the problem!
Question: What is the name of the fairy food? Just curious. I am very interested in fairy life. Like tinker-bell but i don't know what is the name of their fairy food. It would be a good collection for me. :D
Answer: There may not be a special name for the food that fairies eat within their own realm, although faerie food may be magical in essence because it is not of this realm.
The following quotes can be found in a book called - 'A faerie Treasury' by Jacky Newcomb & Alicen Geddes-Ward.
"It is thought that faeries do eat because they are known to have favourite types of food: honey, cake, bread, milk, cream and mead. They are also thought to have all-night revelries where they enjoy lavish fey feasts. However, being not entirely of a physical form, they do not take their food in the same way that we do, but absorb the food's energy (or essence, as it is known) into their beings."
"Faeries are attracted to a wide variety of human foods, but particularly those that are unavailable in their own realms. The especially like sweet things! Gifts of food are appropriate as thank-yous and include honey, milk and cream, butter, bread of freshly baked cake, mead, fruit - especially berries"
"Both the fruit and the bark of the apple tree are used in faerie love spells, and the apples are suitable to faeries as a thank-you gift."
"In the old 'Language of the Flowers', Japanese pears were known as 'faeries' fire'."
"The peach is sometimes called fairy-fruit"
"Nut trees have their very own faeries (or nymphs) called the Caryatids."

Question: What anime should I get into next? Zatch Bell, Fairy Tail, Code Geass or Samurai Champloo? Help me choose one of those anime's and if they all suck to you tell me which one I should watch.
I'm already into Naruto/Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, One Piece, Fullmetal Alchemist-manga, original anime, Brotherhood, Death Note, Hikaru no Go and all Dragonball/Z/GT.
Answer: you should definitely watch Code Geass, i don't usually find anime that i get hyped up about, but this one is by far, one of the best anime i've watched in a long time
the character of Lelouche is almost identical to Light Yagami, only Light goes power crazy while Lelouche is really deep down, thinking for the benefit of others...and i do love mecha...i just recently discovered how much i rather watch two robots battling it out than hand to hand combat (: it just seems more modern and exciting
then, watch Fairy Tale...it's a good anime as well (: never watched Samurai Chaploo but Zatch Bell is pretty good too, but definitely Fairy Tale is much better
Question: How is fairy spelled? I need to know how the word fairy is spelled. Not the little tinker bell sort of thing, but the boat that goes in SanFran harbor. And please no smart-alec remarks about how I already spelled fairy. I need to know if thats the spelling for the boat as well!
Answer: Ferry. Its completely fine, I mess them up all the time. :)
Question: Kid's story called 'The Witch and the Rainbow Cat'? Ring any bells, anyone? I'm not sure if that was the precise title, but it was in a collection of children's fairy tales I had when I was a child. The stories were wonderful and also included one about a ghost ship, and one about a pastry maker who made cakes for a dragon. If any of this rings bells, could you tell me the correct title of the story or even better, of the collection it came in? I would be very grateful. Thanks.
Answer: "Fairy Tales" was written by former Monty Python troupe member Terry Jones in 1981. Puffin Books reissued in 1993.

Question: Is Tinker Bell a Fairy a Pixie or is she Something else? IF she is something else feel free to give your own interpretation of her.
whats the difference
i get ya MY LADY OF SORROWS
A tinker fairy cuzz she tinkers with things.
ha! LOL
but seriously does anyone know?
nice analysis ...I always thought Pixies were slightly larger and had no wings...and then i Thought Fairies had wings and were much smaller.
wait ...Tinker Bell is a pixie since she has wings is a beam of light and is smaller than a fairy...at least that's what i think.
Answer: she's a tinker fairy...she fixes things...I think the difference is that fairies are a little larger than pixies...they kinda have figures and have like different jobs and are created by laughter...pixies are tiny...and they are very often potrayed as beams of light instead of having bodies...
Question: I need some cute and innocent sounding fairy names? I am getting a doll, and I think i've finally decided on this one. http://www.dimdoll.com/shop/step1.php?nu…
But I need a name! I was thinking about Calliope, but I decided I wanted a very fairy-esque name.
Something ending in belle is what I was thinking, since that would suit her. Adorabelle is sort of cute, but it reminds me of a door bell. But something similar would be nice.
Thank you for your help!
Answer: Lovabelle, Honeybelle

I just need to know what is the best things I should do. besides Dinner,Shopping,And Site seeing. What is the best Hotel, How far is Grand Central Station, And How much is the fairy, and liberty bell.
Answer: go clubbing !!! um..Grand Central station is right in the middle of manhattan.. I don't know what you ment by how far it is. The fairy ? lol you mean the ferry ? Well it depends which ferry you want to go on. There's some free ones. If you mean the ferry to go see Statue of Liberty, that one is cheap. You can get those tickets at Battery Park, they include Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. As far as hotels, there's a lot of good ones. If you're not sure then you can always choose a Hilton. Most of them are awesome.
If you're coming from the Grand Central Station, there's a lot of hotels around that area too.
Go to the village. It's fun there. There's good bars there, if you're into that.
There's a lot of hang out spots, it just depends on what kind of crowd you're going to be with.
