I want to understand the following sentence: His firm, Divi Divi Air, said the pilot's flying skills had saved those on board, who were a mix of locals and Dutch tourists. -What is the "His firm" at the beginning of the sentence? Answer: "His firm" is Divi Divi Air, the company he represents or owns (I didn't read the article, so I don't know who "him" is, or his position at Divi Divi Air.

Question: Can you help me? Ok. What dos the word leeward mean in this sentence. ''The Divi-Divi trees, their odd branches all on the leeward side of the trunk.'' This sentence is out of a book.

Answer: Leeward is the direction downwind from the point of reference. The side of the ship towards the leeward is its lee side. If the vessel is heeling under the pressure of the wind, this will be the "lower side".

Question: I feel really bad....? I'm in grade 8 - and I'm in a group of 9. There's this one girl, named Lianne. Everybody thinks that she's annoying; weird and gross...and there's this girl named Divi. Divi is always mean to Lianne, she's just like, "You're so ugly." Or, "Why is your hair like Emma's...did you copy her...because it's really ugly on you!" One time, Divi bullied Lianne so much; Lianne started crying. Then Divi just patted her on the shoulder and said, "It's okay Lianne, all you need to do is brush your teeth and get over it." - (She doesn't have white pearls...) Anyway - for about a week I thought it was funny...honestly...but now it's just pathetic. I don't exclude Lianne like others do... I just got so pissed off at Divi yesterday and I said, "You're not perfect either - you can't talk..." And then she's just like, "Yeah I know I'm not perfect; but Lianne's ugly!" It's really, really sad! I just feel really bad for Lianne...I know it was mean for me to laugh at the things that Divi had said - but now I think it's just tasteless.... Please help me:( Whenever I confront Divi and tell her to stop, she just continues!! :(

Answer: i'm sure your not the only one in your group to feel that way talk to the rest of your group about her and confront her as a group and say if you can't stop bullying her then we're no going to hang out with you maybe that will get through to her and she'll change if not just tell lianne to ignore her and try not to be around her as much
