Aconite
Question: What is the difference of Aconite 10m and Aconite 30c? What are the benefits of both and individually? The 10m was suggested by a GP but there seems to be 30c around more then anything else
it doesn't required a prescription so which is preferably?
Answer: It is a homeopathic type of "remedy", so most likely the placebo effect is going to be the major effect. So if you think the 30c will be better then the 10m, perhaps for you it will be.
From the link:
Aconitum napellus, better known simply as Aconite, would be an excellent first line of treatment for it has won laurels for two centuries treating the effects of extreme sudden shock and fright and the accompanying weakness that that fright provokes. A high potency such as 10M would be ideal, but if you cannot obtain it, buy some Aconite 30c and carry it with you. It should be helpful both in the usual heart attack as well as broken heart syndrome. Aconite is safe and may be the best thing you can do for yourself as you head for the Emergency Room. It should be emphasized that you must seek treatment from the nearest hospital.
Question: How often should aconite be given when there's a fever present with my 2yr old? The naturopath has written down when needed on the bottle, but I need to know how often and how quickly does it reduce the fever she's running at 38.5 deg Celcious
Answer: Gaaaaaaaa - I wish the allopathic public would stay out of the natural medicine section.
Aconite is wonderful for fever. Children respond very well to homeopathics. The thing with homeopathics is that you cannot overdose. One 30c tablet has the same energy as 4-30c tablets as the same as infinite number of 30c tablets.
I'd give her 2 or 3 tablets every 3-4 hrs as a precautionary. You can actually do a tablet every 5-10 minutes until the fever subsides at first. My daughter responds very well to homeopathics as well.
Edits: Homeopathics are not poisonous.

Question: what is the difference between a, Delphinium, aconite. and larkspur? as in physical appearance,
how d you tell which is which?
Answer: All three have physical similarities, the Delphinium has tall erect spires of flowers rising from a basal cluster of stems, often 6,7,8, stems all carrying upright spikes of flowers that surround the flower stem. Impressive Delphiniums produce 2-3 foot long tapering spikes, in shape like a rolled umbrella. Larkspur are annuals, appearing yearly from seed. They are thin, single stemmed plants with many flowering side stems, and soft deeply cut `ferny` leaves. Flowers have distinctive`spurs`, smaller and more slender than its cousin the Delphinium. Aconites (I imagine you mean Monkshood as it looks similar to previous pair) are highly TOXIC . They produce a thin , hard wiry stem with tougher, more course leaves all the way to the flowers, (unlike the Delphinium flower spike which rises above the leaves and stands erect and alone). Aconite (monkshood) have hood like upper sepals, resembling the old `hooded Monks`. The flowers are not produced on a tall thick tapering spire like the stately Delphinium, but occur in short clusters. Hope that helps.
Question: Winter Aconite question? I have just purchased some Winter Aconite bulbs (eranthis cilicica), but I did not receive any planting or care instructions. Can I plant now? How deep should I plant? I am in hardiness zone 6b. Thanks!
Answer: Zone : Cold hardy in zones 4-7 may be grown in some areas of zone 3 with winter mulch. Soak bulbs of winter aconite in water for a few hours before planting in the month of September
Blooming time : Early spring (from January through March, depending on the location and variety). Eranthis is often seen blooming through a light covering of snow
Propagation: Winter aconite grows best from tubers which have been soaked overnight, or transplanted from fresh clumps. If left undisturbed it may naturalize from seed. Plants should be propagated by division of clumps after the flowers are finished but before the leaves fall.
Question: I've been prescribed aconite (homeopathic remedy) for my panic attacks, anyone know anything about it?
Answer: A remedy par excellence for "Panic Attacks" if you have the symptoms it covers. Homeopathy treats the patient not the disease, the complete symptoms of what and how the patient feels from head to toes(Mind and Body) have to be taken into consideration before a Homeopath can prescribe an appropriate remedy for you.
FEAR is the main thing which indicates Aconite, to read more about it click the link :- http://homeoint.org/books/boericmm/a/aco…

Question: what is the difference between wolfs bane, aconite and monkshood? botanologically speaking an culinary
Answer: There are many species called monkshood but Aconitum napellus is typical. Wolfsbane and monkshood are common names for plants in the same genus.
http://www.paghat.com/monkshoodpink.html
This genus is Aconitum not aconite, aconite is another common name and it is used with more than one genus of unrelated plants but it is used mostly with the species of the Aconitum genus. All members of this genus produce a poisonous class of alkaloids one of which is called aconitine.
http://www.drugs.com/npp/aconite.html
Winter aconite is a small very early spring flower from the genus Eranthis

Question: what is aconite the tablet ? in my friends room ,( age 13) she had aconite the tablets in tube , i was wondering what it could be for and if she is ok:O it also said above aconite, > homeopathic , ?
Answer: The herb itself (Aconitum napellus, commonly known as "monkshood") is highly toxic, yes.
But this is not the case with HOMEOPATHIC aconite - a common homeopathic remedy for sudden illness (aches, colds, coughs, sore throat, flu, chills and fever, etc.) especially following exposure to extreme weather changes.
Without opening the "can of worms" that is the debate on the efficacy of homeopathy, I can at least assure you that the homeopathic aconite is 100% non-toxic. If it's a potency higher than 12X there's physically no chemical content from the raw herb in the homeopathic remedy at all.
Question: Survey:--->Have you ever tried to grow Wolf's-Bane, which is also called, Monkshood or Aconite?
It has pretty purple flowers and is a deadly poison.
Answer: Naw! No need to raise Wolf's Bane around here. There aint no werewolves around this neck of of....gagahgs sstgnna. So...me...thi..ng's ....got......!!! Some.....thing's go...go...go..got me by the throat! Gassspp gnaagh
Question: I have heard people mention Aconite for depression. Any comments or experience? with this for depression, and where do you get it???
Answer: Aconite is a deadly poison. It does have some uses in homeopathic doses, (pinhead sized,) as a pain reliever, and diuretic, but buy it from an herb shop or health food store that has someone knowledgeable about homeopathy.
It's probably not a good idea to go with something that drastic.
Ginger, hot peppers and garlic are all mood elevators and chinese or korean food are the best ways to take them.
St John's wort is widely used as an anti-depressant and I've gotten good results using it on myself.
But, if you suffer from chronic depression, herbs and even drugs aren't enough. You need a management program and for that you need a specialist.
Question: in homeopathic medicine, what is aconite? someone told my friend to take aconite in cm potency, what exactly is that, pls help
Answer: ACONITE in CM potency for what ?
Please read what Aconite is prescribed for in Homeopathy :-

Question: What homeopathic remedies would you use for a baby with an ear infection? He's a 3 month old who has a suspected ear infection. I have a homeopathic first aid kit containing - pulsatilla, belladonna, aconite, chamomile and arnica. I would imagine pulsatilla and belladonna would both help, but what about the others? Should I dissolve the pillules in water together to give him?
I don't want to disturb the local homeopath at night to ask, so I thought I'd check here first.
Answer: Typically, any sort of first aid kits will have general adult doses of pills. Before giving an adult dose to an infant, you'll want to ask your homeopath... it'll be worth the wait of a few hours to give your child the right thing.
In the mean time, some aromatic or liquid chamomile should help to calm him down and help him sleep. Good luck!

Question: What is Aconite 200C? It is a homopathic medicine
Answer: It amounts to a very pure drop of water placed on a starch tablet.
If there's nothing actually wrong with you, then it will "work".
Question: Is aconite in any medicines? someone told me that it was, is it? :S
Answer: It is only found in homeopathic formulations. It's not in any allopathic medications.
Question: Kiddie Calmer -- uses Aconite and Silica? Hi all,
My VERY shy little toddler is about to start daycare. Someone recommended that we try K-OK Kiddie Calmer to help her adjust to the situation more smoothly. I looked it up online and am somewhat wary of the two main ingredients: Silica and Aconite. According to my research, aconite acts as a anesthetic and can slow the heart rate, etc. I'm also concerned about silica as I don't know much about it. Here's one of the many websites where it is sold: http://www.manataka.org/page956.html
I'm not a mom who medicates my child at the drop of a hat, so I hesitate putting anything into her that I don't fully understand. Has anyone had any experience with giving a child these ingredients? (Or, even tried a "medication" like Kiddie Calmer?) I appreciate your insight and suggestions!
Just wanted to add a quick note: the daycare won't be medicating my child...I was looking for something to help my shy child adjust better to a new situation. This daycare has exceptional ratings (we've heard great reviews) and we've haven't started there yet. I'm just hoping to make the transition easier for her when we do decide to take the plunge and enroll her.
Answer: It's homeopathic. There is nothing in it except the starch pills have had a drop of magic water placed on them...which promptly evaporated.
Save your money. This is useless.

Question: how to buy aconite?
Answer: Aconite must be prepared in a very specific manner in order to eliminate certain chemical agents that are toxic. Therefore, if you buy Aconite from an herb shop, be certain that the herbalist understands that you want only Prepared Aconite.
Prepared Aconite is a darkish, brown slice of the root. Unprepared Aconite tends to be lighter in color or even greenish. If you are not certain which Aconite you have purchased, don't use it.
Virtually all tonic formulations on the American market which include Aconite use Prepared Aconite.
Question: Aconite as fictional medicine/vaccine? This may seem an odd question, but it's for a fictional book in the making, so bear with me. ;)
I want to ask, is there any way an overall poisonous plant like aconitum (wolfsbane) can be used as an internal medicine? Well perhaps 'medicine' isn't the right word, more of a 'vaccine' really. I've done some research and heard of it being used in Traditional Chinese Medicine, but I've yet to find any further details on this. Also, if this is not possible, (yes, I am aware that it is a very poisonous plant, thank you) perhaps it can be cross-bred with another plant to reduce toxicity? I know the plants must be compatible, but other than that I do not know. The point is, I need to come up with some sort of fictional 'injection' involving aconitum, and I haven't the foggiest as how to go about that. I'm not at all savvy in botany or medicine after all, and I feel very out of place asking this, but... you gotta do what you gotta do, right? Please, any help is appreciated, I'm not finding much help anywhere else. (Also I apologize if this isn't in the best category, but it really was hard to place. I tried it in Science - Medicine but did not get any results).
thank you so much, both of you, this helps a lot. ;D
Answer: It's not uncommon for a deadly toxic plant to be used as a medicine. Just look at foxgloves (digitalis - http://www.botanical.com/botanical/mgmh/… ) and mayapples (anti-cancer medications http://altnature.com/gallery/mandrake.ht… ). Here's a list of reported used of aconitum: http://abchomeopathy.com/r.php/Acon
Toxicity is often related to preparation and dosage - the purity of the extraction of the medicinal compounds, collection of the correct parts in the proper season, and the delivery of the extract in low amounts make use of the toxic properties of these plants to attack simpler organisms like bacteria or a targeted group of cells. Yes, the person it's given to may feel some ill effects, but the point is to give a low enough dose that it can kill what you want while not killing the person to which it was given. This is also the "simple" explanation for how chemotherapy works. So there's no need to crossbreed the plants, you'd just have to create a convincing way of extraction of a chemical in a relatively pure form and delivering it to the person who is receiving the treatment. This website discusses the compounds and preparation of Aconitum as it's used in herbal medicine: http://botanical.com/botanical/mgmh/a/ac…
As to how the extract could be delivered, that would depend somewhat on what the extract was, its form, and the time period of your story. The simplest method would be for it to be eaten or inhaled. However if the compound being given was a protein, then the stomach acid would likely denature the compound making it useless. Inhalation would work if this was a volatile comound (evaporates easily like rubbing alcohol) or a powder. Injection would e possible if it were a liquid, but you'd have to find a reasonable way of delivering the injection. Hypodermic needles are failry recent, but South American natives used blowguns with poison darts where the darts were dipped into the poison. You might be able to use a thin bone, or a hollow twig with a sharpened point, or a fountain pen as a method of delivery.
But to clarify something in your question, a vaccine is used to prevent something and usually contains a mild or inactive form of an organism causing an illness. If you're using a plant to treat a medical condition, then it would be a medicine or drug.
Question: Can any one tell, How to reduce Aconite in body.I have taken aconite 30th potency for 2 months in 5 day? intervals. After that I reduced it to 6th potency. I continued up to 15 day’s, suddenly the drug showing symptoms on my body. How to reduce it.
I was suffering with dry throat with frequent cough, neck pain back side, itching in my back like ants are going on my back eyes are burning, feeling hot body and stools also not good. So I started taking aconite, when ever these symptoms are showing again I am taking that medicine. Two months I was very happy with that medicine. After that the symptoms are shown next day. Then I have taken that medicine again. From that day I am suffering with saver neck pain and cough.
Answer: Hiii,
I think, the symptoms you are getting again is the good sign,
that is the reappearance of symptoms are considered to be a good sign in homeopathy.
In Homeopathy, similimum or correct medicine when acts or makes its course, the symptoms get cured, After this initial period, there may be a return of old symptoms from the past. These are not severe and represent the remedy working through time to clear up old unresolved issues. They are a good sign, not a regression to a weaker state.
Once relief from the symptoms if felt, stop taking the homeopathic medicine. Only take it again if exactly the same symptoms come back.
I suggest to take the single dose of 200 and then wait for its action .
Question: Is your dietary supplement contaminated and dangerous? A recent Consumer Reports article stated: "... consumers are easily lulled into believing that supplements can do no harm because they're 'natural',"
"However, some natural ingredients can be hazardous, and on top of that the FDA has repeatedly found hazardous ingredients, including synthetic prescription drugs, in supplements."
"In May, the Government Accountability Office found that sellers of ginseng, echinacea and other herbal and dietary supplements often tell consumers the pills can cure cancer or replace prescription medications."
"The organization pointed to 12 supplement ingredients in particular that it said could be dangerous: aconite, bitter orange, chaparral, colloidal silver, coltsfoot, comfrey, country mallow, germanium, greater celandine, kava, lobelia, and yohimbe."
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38542031/ns/…
I'm particularly concerned that the problem appears to be so bad, the FDA has set up an office in China (where it appears that most of these supplements are produced) yet has not inspected any of them!
So, with nobody checking to ensure your supplements are uncontaminated, why do you think they are safe? What confidence do you have that you're not regularly accumulating poisons and causing more harm than good?
David: I'm not sure that "never had any issues" is very reassuring, though it's good that you haven't. Homeopathy has no proven benefits by the way.
dbobo: Wtf? Did you not understand the question?
Nitram: I agree, these greedy multi-billion dollar moneygrabbers should be accountable for their products.
SA/Aristo: Wouldn't it be polite to let people know they're taking a risk? You know, just so they can make an informed choice? Or is it more profitable to poison first, make excuses later?
Fake Rhianna (yeah, you wish you were that smart): Your Red Herring Fallacy is of course, invalid.
Wow, you have 4 accounts? Aren't you just a tad embarrassed?
5? Oh dear........
Answer: I should sum this up with "They were from China!" but I won't...I'm going to play both sides of the fence here
1) The FDA regulates far fewer drugs, and take a look at their track record....
A large part of the problem is that they rely too heavily on outside research when it comes to approving substances - which is really easy to manipulate {{y'know... shadowy stats shaving skills, changing operational definitions post-hoc, etc}}
2) Those substances do not fall under the "D" in F.D.A, but rather the "F" - they are considered food supplements - which is why they are exempt from the regulations that drugs are subject to.....and yet they are not subject to periodical safety and compliance inspections by the USDA who would normally cover such things (farms, bottling plants, grocers, restaurants - you would be surprised) - because they aren't exactly 'food' either.....
Bill Clinton in trying to appease a bunch of folks (with millions of signatures and lots of lobbyists) who were afraid that their freedom to take Vitamin C would be taken away stuck supplements in a nebulous 'grey area'. He did manifest the structure/function claims laws - so at least companies can't make ridiculous claims but can rather only say things like Vitamin A supports visual health.**(a)
3) I have seen lots, and lots of health care products - where I worked we had 30,000 on the floor and as a buyer I would say a few hundred new ones used to cross my desk every month I've never seen a claim to cure cancer or the like - its always got some sketchy language that can be abused by shyster sales people who take advantage of others...but so help me - if those labels do say such things, I hope the Feds go after them with vengeance and fury....
{{Now, you are probably wondering how homeopathics can make all sorts of claims to treat, x, y, or z....they have their own US Pharmacopoeia - so they are, but not quite drugs either - and exempt from both sets of rules - that decision was made sometime during the civil war -
I'm not even going to go off on a rant about China - they think its okay to kill their own people, so surely they don't care about people in other countries...
4) Many of those substances are toxic in the wild, let alone a capsule - we have the freedom to demand poisons here y'know?
5) The FDA doesn't have jurisdiction over in China, as far as I know we can't inspect a single plant there - someone at NBC got a fact wrong.
6) Many of the larger companies in the supplements fields got together because they were afraid that Clintons new US standards would tarnish their image - so they created one that was far higher - its known as GMP (Good Manufacturing Process) Canada adopted it as their national standard because it was so stringent. You guys in the UK too if I recall right (though its been a while) - so anyone here who has actually done some research would know only to buy GMP certified products. Question: i need a homeopathic remedy for my dog who is very scared of fireworks..? he shakes a lot and sounds like he is hyper ventilating. i tried arnica last night but didnt work.. what about aconite...? many thanks.
Answer: You can get something from Pets At Home for dogs who are terrified of fireworks, you put a few drops into their drinking water and its supposed to calm them down, I have tried absolutely everything on my golden retriever and nothing has worked for her, our vet told us not to fuss her as that makes them worse, but how do you not do that when their so scared, we just turn the telly up to try to drown out the sound and cuddle her in-between us on the sofa,so hard for dogs hey.
Question: Do You Know Much About Chinese Herbs? I did acupuncture for the first time today and she gave me some herbs that are XIAO HUO LUO WAN under it in small letters it say Arisaema & Aconite Qi- Activating Pill
She said this would help with improving energy. But when I google it all I am finding is that its used to treat rheumatic ache and pain in the extremities????
Answer: I need more information. What was your complaint? The reason you went to see her for? There should be ingredients on the bottle. Copy and e-mail them to me.
Question: Is there any products that contain more than one of these supplements? Check the more detail...? Is there any products that contain more than one of these; Aconite, Chaparral, Coltsfoot, Comfrey, Country-mallow, Germanium, Greater-Celandine, Lobelia, Yohimbine, Má-Huáng, and/or Bitter-Orange; besides there individualized supplements?
Answer: Wasn't there just a story on these suppliments being unhealthy?
In any event, there's no reason to take them.
Question: Need Help Urgently!!! in homeopathy what is meant by therapeutic uses of a remedy?? hello, i have this homeopathic assignment in which i have to 'develop a reference guide for homeopathic first aid usage'. i have made a table with headings: 'Remedy, Common Name & Preparation, First Aid Indications, Therapeutic Uses, Specific Modalities, External/Internal'. Have to do 24 remedies some of them are: Aconite, Aethusa, Bryonia, Nux Vomica, Ledum, Ruta, Rhustox..... PLZ see if you can help with any of these but 'Therapeutic Uses' one in particular, i really don't get what i should i write in that column. i have to write info in dot points & v breifly. and also it would very helpful if someone could give example of 1 or 2 remedies while explaning so i can write similar for other remedies.THANKSSSSSSSS SOOO MUCHHH!!!!!
im quite worried plz helppppppp
Answer: The National Center for Homeopathy (http://www.nationalcenterforhomeopathy.o… is a good resource for acute care information. Members can search their magazine database, as well as monthly online chats with homeopaths. I assume this assignment is for a homeopathic class, so you also have some books of your own.
Here's one way to highlight a remedy for acute care problems. Note that homeopathy does not treat by clinical diagnosis (rather, by individual symptoms), so "therapeutics" merely lists a few problems for which a particular remedy is commonly used. I'll summarize Aconite and Rhus-t by example, with optimal headings to include.

Question: A Hard Frost - C. Day Lewis? What's this poem about? What's the underlying message of this poem?
A frost came in the night and stole my word
And left this changeling for it - a precocious
Image of spring, too brilliant to be true
White lilac on the windowpane, each grass-blade
Furred like a catkin, maydrift loading the hedge.
The elms behind the house are elms no longer
But blossomers in crystal, stems of the mist
That hangs yet in the valley below, amorphous
As the blind tissue whence creation formed.
The sun looks out, and the fields blaze with diamonds.
Mockery spring, to lend this bridal gear
For a few hours to a raw country maid,
Then leave her all disconsolate with old fairings
Of aconite and snowdrop! No, not here
Amid this flounce and filigree of death
Is the real transformation scene in progress
But deep below where frost
Worrying the stiff clods unclenches their
Grip on the seed and lets our future breathe.
Answer: Imagine it's spring. One night however, an unexpected frost comes and covers everything. If you awaken before the sun melts it all and look outside you would see things similar to what the poet is describing to you here.
For instance, have you ever seen frost leave designs on a window? With a little imagination, you could see lilacs or blades of grass in it's whorls and turns.
Surely everyone has seen frost on grass? As the sun rises the frost sparkles on the grass like diamonds carelessy thrown around.
Have you ever looked at a Christmas card where it shows a wooded scene with all the trees touched with snow and sparkles? The poet compares that to a bridal gown - all white and sparkly.
He is saying he went to bed expecting a spring day the next morning and was surprised to awaken to a frost in its place! He admires the beauty of the frost and how it has changed the landscape, but he knows that the frost is temporary and the spring, with its promise of summer lies just beneath the frost.
Question: Harry Potter fans!! -Multiple choice maybe- ? Which creature would you want as a pet ?!
( Acromantula - Basilisk - Centaur - Chimaera )
Which magical plant would you plant in your backyard ?!
( Aconite - Belladonna - Fluxweed - Hornbeam )
Which magic item do you want ?!
( A magic Camera - Enchanted Transporter - Garroting Gas - Sneakoscope )
:D
Answer: Lol,I don't think a centaur would allow a wizard to keep him as pet. They're just too proud:]
A basilisk wouldn't make a good pet either...I could never look directly at it,therefore wouldn't be able to stroke it...and a pet that can't be stroked, omg, what kind of pet is it??
Acromantulas don't seem to bee cuddly pets,so I'd choose the Chimaera .:)
I'd plant...hmm,anything that doesn't require much attention, lol.I'm not the kind of person with a "green thumb".Fluxweed is pretty useful, but not really decorative....Maybe the belladonna, then.
Oh,I'd love the sneakoscope!:)Although they're considered gadgets that never functionate they worked pretty good through all the HP books, don't you think?:)
Question: what flowers grow in pine woods? do bluebells snowdrops aconites grow in pine woods
Answer: Yes all those you've mentioned will grow.
Question: Heart problems help!? I was born with 2 hearts. The one to left of the chest cavity like in others, and but the other is on the right. Problem is my right heart has been giving me problems. Sometimes when I'm exercising it pumps really hard. And I can hear like this hissing sound. Man almost like a snake! Hsssssssssssssssssssssss... The other day I could have sworn I heard a farting sound in my chest. Anyway I went to see my doc about it and he prescribed 2 -5 mg of Aconite per day. And something else I forget. He says it would help with the muscular spasms. He says basically my other heart is spasming or something. He also said this. Its kinda strange, but if it really gets bad I must get someone to punch me on the right hand side of my chest but not too hard or I'll die. Then he did some blood samples and a urine test. He also did a full body checkup and he examined my penis for some reason. I don't know what that had to do with it but he said that it would help with my heart problems i guess. So it has been 2 days since the Aconite and i think the other one was called estrogen or something. I'm feeling ok but my penis really hurts. And my one leg is kinda green. Anyways I was just wondering what you guys thought about this?
Answer: I think maybe you are bored.

There we are, I haven't actually got to the Elite 4 in these games yet so I can't say levels but if you could please rate them and help with movesets or maybe changing Pokemon around. Thanks
Answer: your actual team, like typing wise, is fairly decent.
Your problems come with the movesets.
2 big issues, first, NEVER USE FLASH!!!!
in all these games, the max u need flash outside of battle is twice. in the newest games you can get to the elite four without ever using flash. In battle is is horrible. just catch a random abra when you need flash, teach it flash, go through said cave with it, then put it in your pc and forget about it. its a waste of a moveslot.
secondly, you have fallen for the classic moveset making problem. never give one pokemon two moves of the same type. which there are exceptions, like focus blast and mach punch on a machoke, there is no excuse for the pokemon you gave. your leafeon has giga drain and magical leaf. while one is a much needed source of hp and the other one is a sheer attack, you are only going to hit a couple people super effectively. why not give you leafeon rest and toxic? that way you hit twice as many pokes, which is crucial for the elite four.
you make the same mistake a couple times, giving feraligatr whirlpool surf and waterfall. He only needs one (waterfall, since he is a physical attacker). the other two (surf and whirlpool for his case) whould be thrown on a hm slave.
HM salves are godly. besides surf and waterfall, the hm moves are crap. thusly, they are destined for a crap pokemon. i gave fly to a zubat, and cut to my rattata.
its a little late for that for you because hm moves are a ***** to get rid of, but in the future, it saves a lot of moveslots and thusly makes beating the elite four and the gym leaders that much easier. But like flash is a tm, at least in soulsilver, so that shonuld already be gone by the time you read this.
my last critique, which i just found, is more of a suggestion. you hopefully know about the difference between speical and physical attack. if you dont, basically half the attacks in the game are special, and the other half are physical. Each pokemon also has a statistic for each of these attack types (as well as the respective defense, speed and hp, which is irrelevant right now). Certain pokemon have higher special attack, and certain pokemon higher physical attack. Now why does this matter. take gengar (which is the pokemon which spurred this critique. You gave it stregth, while stregth is physical and gengar is a special attacker.
Instead, give it to a hm slave, or if u need to give it to someone on your team, give it to ampharos or feraligatr, who are physical. at least you will get more damage dealt from them with said move
good luck
Question: Would you read this book? I just came up with an idea for a fantasy novel (fantasy is what I mostly write), and I wanted to know what you guys think of it. I came up with it about two days ago, and have since been developing it, and I really like it! Not only does the novel have a good amount of fantasy in it, but it also deals with some religous subjects, which is something I have never done in my writing before, so please be patient with me! It is probably a little cliched, but if you guys have any suggestions on how to fix that, I will take them! :) Remember, it is still in it's infant stages. I will probably make it a series (assuming I do decide to write it).
Here is a basic outline of the plot:
There are two 16 year old girls (Samantha, or Sami, and Riley) who have been friends since they were very young. They do basically everything together, and know each other like the back of their hands. They are both going through difficult times in their lives (Sami's parents are getting a divorce and Riley's parents have just died in a car crash, leaving her in foster care). Riley's sixteenth birthday is coming up, and Sami wants to make her something handmade that she can keep with her forever. She decides to make her a necklace made of wood and elements from the forest area behind Sami's house where they have always hung out at. She makes the necklace and carves Riley's name in it. She wants to go out into the forest to get some of Riley's favorite flower, the aconite (aka, wolfsbane) to put on the necklace. While she is out there, she is attacked by a rabid werewolf (known in the novels as "Sami's Alpha", since he is the originator of her condition). Because she was holding the wolfsbane, the lives, and becomes a half-wolf (which gives you the power to transform into a wolf). While the wolf venom works it's way through her system, she is in a sort of paralysis, which gives her the appearance of being dead. After her funeral, Sami comes to a breaks out of the coffin the night before the burial. She finds help in the form of her old 5th grade teacher, who also happens to be a half-wolf. She tells her that half-wolves exist to fight demons, sent to Earth to wreak havoc on mortals. She, her son Jeremy (also a half-wolf), and her husband Adam (a mortal demonologist) have been fighting them for thousands of years, since being half-wolf makes you immortal. Meanwhile, Riley is angry that her family and best friend have "abandoned" her and at how unfair her life has become. She wants to get revenge on them somehow. The Devil appears to her (in human form) and begins to lure her in to immortality while serving him. She makes a pact with the Devil, who makes her a half-demon (you can't be made a full demon) and tells her that she must destroy Sami. So, the series will be about the broken relationship between Riley and Sami, how they now must kill one another, and the battles between good and evil.
Would you read it? Do you have any ideas/suggestions? Title ideas? Knowlege that might be helpful?
Thanks!
lol I love the "urge to eat roadkill" idea! XD I'll definatly use it!
Actually, they both have little control over their abilities at first. Sami doesn't have hardly any control over her transformations at first, wheras Riley has no control of her temper (which leads to transformations) or her new inhuman strength.
Answer: This does sound like something I would read. It is interesting, unique, and a little creepy. However, I would do some research on demonology and the back-story of the Devil. I say this only because you want to make sure that - no matter how mythical your work may seem - it has a touch of truth to it. You want your demonologist to be genuine and your workings of the devil to be accurate. But, it seems really good! I would read it!
Question: Sick Bengal Kitten - Chlamydia? Hi, I bought 2 Bengal kittens on Sunday and on Monday, one of them became sick. She doesnt want to eat, just lies in her igloo most of the time and has a very mild discharge from her eyes. On the first day she went to the toilet normally but today she has wet her own bed. No other symtoms. If I encourage her, she might show signs of wanting to play for about a minute... and she does respond to being patted sometimes but compared to her sister she is very flat.
The Vet came today and put her on a course of Vibravet antibiotic paste, and took a temperature of 41degrees :(.. He said Chlamydia could be a possibility seeing as tho the breeder had quite a few cats living in close (and smelly) quarters. The breeder had 2 ferrets running free in the house and they seemed to just crap anywhere.. oh the smell :(.
Anyway... Just wondering if anybody has had a similar experiance or has any advice on what more i can do as far as supportive care goes??
I am syringing Divetalct every few hours, and have force feed her some fresh red meat. Also, I gave her a small dose of Aconite tonight and intend to repeat that in the morning.
The next step will be to put her on fluids if she doesnt respong to the ABs.
Any ideas what other disease this could be? I want to do everything possible for this gorgeous kitty! She is only 8 weeks old.
Thanks!
Thanks guys! I have phoned the breeder 3 times, left messages and sent 2 emails to her.. but no responce. She lives a 2 hour drive away, so im not going to go all the way out there again when its so ovious she doesnt want to know. My fault for buying unregistered discount kittens i suppose. :(
Answer: Hi there,
It sounds like you are doing everything possible for your kitty, working closely with your vet. This bacterial infection is quite contagious between cats, actually, so your other kitten may also be infected. I am sorry that your breeder sounds rather careless in caring for her pets, from what you describe.
Returning them to the breeder is an option, but from what I am gathering they will probably get better attention and care by you. It is totally unacceptable for kittens to be sold so young. So they have more of a chance of getting well with you, as you are on top of things.
Here is an article about Chlamydia that may be helpful.
http://www.future-of-vaccination.co.uk/c…
I would suggest that if her appetite doesn't improve, that red meat may be a bit heavy for her system right now. If it were my kitty, I would entice her with some boiled chicken mixed in with some broth, and/or baby food that is meat and broth only.
You could also talk to your vet about an appetite stimulant which are quite helpful, if she doesn't perk up.
You can also talk to your vet about adding some probi
Question: Building a 'Poison Garden' Where can I find these seeds? Hi guys,
I'm building my own minature ornamental 'Poison Garden' for many uses which as you can tell has some dangerous plants. I'm looking to find the seeds of these plants in hopefully one place instead of looking all ovfer the net. I've found all the seeds from different source but I'm looking to order them all from one place.
NOTE: As I've stated many times to people, I am WELL AWARE of all toxicities , I know the chemical compounds they contains, the effects they cause, Which is why I dont intend misusing them. I intend to use them with care. So If all you're going to suggest is 'don't they're dangerous etc etc' then can you please not even bother commenting.
Also, I get alot about the 'law' on the poisnous plants, there are many sources to buy the seeds from legally and I'm sure illegally regardless of supposed law. (Frankly I dont care).
Basically I'm looking for:
Henbane
Foxglove
Mandragora
Ivy
MonksHood Flower, or called Aconite.
Bittersweet nightshade; Purple Plant with yeloow centre, The prettiest of the Solanum family I think.
Black Nightshade (Any Form)
Deadly Nightshade
Jimson Weed
Hemlock/Waterhemlock which is very highly unlikely of finding as is highly dangerous. it grows in abundance here in the UK but I cant afford picking the wrong plant and being severely mistaken.
If possible could they please be based in UK or shipped (cheap as possible) :)
Many Thanks x
Answer: Hi Billykel...!
You can find seeds here

Question: Can you help me choose actors and actresses? I'm writing a fiction at the moment and for fun I wanted to put together a little collection of actresses I want to play the main characters.
Now, I watch a lot of movies but I'm not that great with actors. I know a few at the moment which will be good for minor characters. But I need some suggestions for the main characters.
I hope people might be able to help if I can give them an appearance bio and an age limit. I'm not racist, but all my characters are white and not really tanned.
Aconite - male, black spiky hair, green or brown eyes. Quite muscular and physically fit. Any actor's age range of around 18-22.
Belladonna - female, black/dark brown, straight or wavy hair, moss or dark green eyes. Quite slim and long limbs but slightly short. (Below 5ft 7) Needs to be able to be mysterious and slightly seductive. 17-21 years old
Nefertiti - dark red hair (not ginger) wavy, green eyes (preferably, if this would be a movie she would probably where amber contacts). 19-23 years old.
Nyx - black hair with blue eyes (again most likely gonna add contacts), 30s
Naiads and Dryads - These are greek nymphs from greek mythology. Naiads are sirens who seduce men into the oceans to drown them, so any actresses who would be for this role are okay. Somebody once suggested Angelina Jolie due to Beowulf but I'm not to sure. Dryads are tree protectors and still need to be beautiful but not seductive.
These are the roles I need to find people for, thanks for helping!
Answer: Aconite = Taylor Lautner
Belladonna = Kristen Stewart
Nefertiti = Leighton Meester
Nyx = Angelina Jolie
Naiads and Dryads = Megan Fox and Audrina Partidge

lol one of my friends told me it reminded him of cirque du freak too! But i honestly have never read it or seen the movie (i hadn't even heard of it until he told me about it. i made him explain it. lol). I hope no one thinks I'm copying!
I am Christian too, but I am actually not singling out any particular religion in this book (pretty much every religion has a Devil of some sort). I thought that it would be the best way to shock people, and make them angry and sad for Riley at the same time.
Answer: sounds cool, like cirque du freak(only that has vampires and is like an 11 book series). honestly, i think you should add a few things like flashbacks to previous times or something. i dont know, its your story. :)

There are two 16 year old girls (Samantha, or Sami, and Emma) who have been friends since they were very young. They do basically everything together, and know each other like the back of their hands. They are both going through difficult times in their lives (Sami's parents are getting a divorce and Emma's parents have just died in a car crash, leaving her in foster care). By the way, being half-wolf does give Sami, Jeremy, and the teacher the power to turn into wolves (not werewolves, but real wolves).
haha, sorry I forgot to mention something about her making a pact with the Devil. She doesn't actually know that he is the Devil. While he tries to convince her to make the pact with him, he looks human. He acts like a convincing real estate agent, and lures her into the prospect of immortality.
Oh, and Romulus doesn't actually live in the forest. He goes from town to town hunting, and just happened to stumble across Sami alone in the woods.
Sorry I didn't clear that up earlier!
Actually, the werewolf in Harry Potter was named Remus, but you were close. They are actually from the same legend.
Yeah, now that I think about it, Emma is way too soft of a name for her.
I really like Georgia, Fenn, Indi, Emily, Riley, and I also thought of Aster.Which one do you guys like best?
I actually really like the "Sami's Alpha" idea! The story is actually going to have a twist ending involving him, so now that I think about it, it might be better if they don't know his name until later! Thanks so much!
If you guys want to message me some more about the story, here's my email:

I would love to talk to you about it!
Answer: Good story. I would read it. Change the name of the werewolf though. Romulus is too cliche, and if I remember right that's the name used in Harry Potter for the werewolf teacher. You might also delve into why there are full werewolves and half werewolves.
Sami is a good name for the protagonist but you might want to reconsider Emma. It feels too soft for a tortured powerful half demon who is out to kill her best friend.
I also agree with Lex on the deal with the devil. You might want to explore why Emma is flawed and what drives her to her sell her soul beside being ticked off that her friend abandoned her. Just an idea: Emma is hysterical with grief and the devil shows up with an offer - serve me and you can see your friend again. The devil knows Sami is alive and therefore Emma will see here again anyway. Emma is now bound to serve the devil against her will giving Sami another reason to fight evil and rescue her friend.
I like the idea of the Devil as a Real Estate agent. I work for a Title company and deal with Realtors all day long, lol. The smooth talking DEVIL who brings downfall through coercion makes a story a lot more interesting then the pitchfork and tail / fire and brimstone type.
Edit: I knew it was one of those guys that founded Rome. What if the werewolf didn't have a name? Since he is rabid and deranged, what if the half-wolves just refered to him as "the Alpha" or "Sami's Alpha." Something of that nature that shows he is the originator of Sami's condition (or all of the half-wolves' condition.)
Damn... I'm getting exicted about this story now. Let me know if you ever post it or publish it. snarkycondescendo@yahoo.com
I like Riley, Aster looks a little too masculine. Maybe if you spelled it Astere or Astare. I think that way it evokes more of mystic or exotic feeling.
Question: What is the best homeo medicine for frontal sinusitis and right nasal congestion? I am suffering from chronic Sinusitis and right nasal congesation fro last 5 years.Every moment cold breeds at my forehead.I had taken so many antibiotics, vitamins ,anti allergic and injections. But,I feel no trace of relief.I had taken so many homeo medicines also like Basilinum200,San Can,Cal Carb,Nat Mur,Psorinum,Nux,Turbercullinum,Bellodon… alb,Kali Iod,Kali Nitricum ,Aconite, and Arnica etc. But,no relief.Kindly help me.
I have also taken Kali Bicho,Kali sulph,Mer sol ,Arg Nit,Pulstilla etc and some bichomemic medicine like Nat Mur 6x,Silica6x,Nat Sulph 6x etc.But no relief.
Answer: Wont help sinusitus (initially), but if you want to clear nasal congestion, learn the Buteyko breathing method. Don't believe it can work ? Try this simple test: pinch your nose lightly to block off air (so you don't cheat), breathe out and don't breathe in again, rock your head up and down for as long as you can, but breathe in before it becomes way too uncomfortable. When you breathe in, try to do it gently and through your nose (very hard to do the first few times as you are starved for breath and want to gulp it in !). Wait maybe 20-30 seconds till you are breathing normally again and repeat, 3 or 4 times. If you are doing it properly, your nose will be clear.

Answer: The best natural remedy I have found is to go in nature, mountains are the best source of peace and energy.
And if you have social anxiety you have to spend more time with other people and practice to have conversations.
Remedy only without any action doesn't work. Good luck.
